Various rug fragments have been excavated in Armenia dating back to the 7th century BC or earlier. There's no denying that rugmaking is a part of Armenian culture. As a diasaporan Armenian, creating this wool rug with modern asymmetric elements along with traditional Armenian design helped me stay connected to my culture.
